BED BUG INFORMATION
We are an independent bed bug inspection company, NOT a pest control company.
How Bed Bugs Work
This is a short video made by National Geographic about bed bugs and how they feed. Originally they were only found in caves, feeding on bats but they found their way out!

Early Detection is the Key
The most difficult and important step in eliminating bed bugs is early detection and identification to correctly recognize these blood-feeding pests. While adult bed bugs can be fairly easy to see, bed bug eggs (which are white) and nymphs (which are virtually colourless) are nearly microscopic. A female bed bug can lay between 300-500 eggs in her life time.
General Bed Bug Information
People can pick up a single bug on a plane, train, from a hotel, movie theatre, or even on public transit. Bugs don't discriminate, and will hitch a ride home with whomever they come in contact with. The earlier the bugs are located - the greater the likelihood of stopping its progression towards an infestation.
A big concern is that bugs move through walls, ceilings and floors so it is important to check all surrounding units if bed bugs are even suspected. If your home is positive for bugs, it is essential to have your workplace searched as well. Bed bugs are very good at hiding (and traveling) on clothes, in briefcases, purses and lunch bags etc. It is pointless to treat one location, while continually visiting another that is likely infested too. This is how many homes/businesses become re-infested - by only addressing one location in a repetitive cycle.
Aside from the obvious places - like the bed and box-spring, bugs like to hide. They are often found in baseboards, flooring, and walls. This is where the dog becomes an essential part of the search. Human technicians can only locate what they can see, whereas dogs can sniff with incredible accuracy and locate bugs that can’t actually be seen.
